About Me

I am an aspiring poet in love with all the beauty that life has to offer: the good, the bad, the painful journeys, the illuminating revelations and the celebration of the ordinary. I am always amazed by the poetry collections amassed by great poets, and I find it daunting when I compare my writing output as it can take me almost a year or two to really feel that a poem is complete. And sometimes it never feels complete, but I do not want to butcher the piece to unrecognisable bits with several rewrites. 😅

I started to actively sit and write poetry 2.5 years ago and I will publish poems which I have determined to be complete (and hopefully not feel like editing them in the future…). I will publish these poems here on this website along with a poetry reading released on YouTube.

When I sit down to write, poetry feels like a fairy that will peek from behind a curtain or a bush, and I do not know for certain when I will see her again. So I record what moments of light she gifts and when I do not see her for a while, I bask in the sweetness she has so generously given while I await her next visit. So, poetry for me comes at a slower, more contemplative pace.

I look forward to seeing how the creative evolution of threadsofeternallight.com will unfold. But until then, join me on this journey of mining the depths of the human soul as we search for what gems we may find. Maybe you’ll love only one of my poems, or maybe two or three, or all or none; but I truly believe that poetry is about the many faces of human expression and in whichever poetic mirror you catch your reflection, how I hope it warms your heart and brings you comfort, like a silent friend. Because this is the feeling that arises in me when I read some of my favourite poems. 😊
